Two-way JPEG and JPEG XL. JPEG keeps its bitstream inside JPEG XL, and JPEG XL returns that JPEG when the bitstream is present. JPEG XL without that data still converts to JPEG from pixels. PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, and XPM become lossless JPEG XL.
